The Lions weren't crazy to buy Carlos Spencer because the extensive loss of experienced personal to other franchises has undoubtedly left a hole in their playing roster (Such as Andre Pretorious, and Jaque Fourie). Not only will he provide some professionalism and big game experience to the Lions when he plays, but he will also provide much needed leadership on and of the field. Also his role as player/coach will give the Lions extensive knowledge of the game which he has gained during his lengthy career.
